Trip Report – Meeting Ganesh on DMT

(this occurred in 2020)

I sit cross legged on my bedroom floor. Peace and presence fills my body, but also a longing for something.

I spent an hour and a half doing a guided meditation intended to activate the pineal gland (Joe Dispenza Pineal Gland Meditation).

The experience was rich and very interesting. My thoughts became more alive and real, I felt emotions not accessible through normal day to day life, and my body felt very euphoric.

Still I felt a longing for a deep and profound out of body experience. I sat there in lotus for close to two hours because I desired a powerful experience to give me guidance and to replenish my awe and curiosity for life. I wanted to be reminded of how complex and beautiful and undiscovered reality truly is. I also wanted to know what to do, because I felt lost at the time.

I had DMT lying around for ages, but didn’t have the nerves to take it. The peace and stillness attained from the long meditation made me feel ready and prepared for it.

I decided if the doors wouldn’t open of their own accord, I’d utilise the molecular key which guarantees a profound and intense out-of-body mystical experience. It’s a tad bizarre that’s a thing that exists.

I first take out my journal to write an intention. I write down “I want to know what to do. I want to feel growth and movement again. I don’t want to feel stuck. I want to be free from limitations”.

I smoke the DMT and then lie down on my bedroom floor. I immediately leave my body and end up in the void. No up, no down. Space doesn’t really exist there in the same way. Things feel more real. It feels more like real life in the DMT space than in ‘normal life’.

In front of me the Hindu elephant god materialises. We float before each other for a while. Just acknowledging each others presence. They had a vibe of calmness and knowingness. I was perplexed and astonished.

The experience ends and I’m on my floor. I journal, then google the Hindu elephant god. I find out their name is Ganesh, and that they symbolise the removal of limitations. Goosebumps arise all over me, I look back to my journal in disbelief. “I want to be free from limitations”.

Another synchronicity to remind me I’m not nuts, reality is.
