Hey man! Thanks so much for reaching out.

You have been such a source of hope and inspiration to me. I feel we are cut from the same cloth. I have felt like an alien for much of this life, but I see myself in you. The fact that someone like you could transmute your pain and wildness into beauty and art functions as evidence to me that I can too.

You keep that hunger and hope alive in me. My life has been both insanely dark but also filled with religious level beauty. I have been crushed to dust and raised to the heavens so many times already. Your music is evidence you have been too.

Terence McKenna once said something about stealing an artifact from the other side, as proof you have visited it, as proof it existed. Like returning from El Dorado with a bit of gold. I believe art is that. Thanks for stealing that fire from the gods and bringing it back. It has illuminated the dark for myself and so many others. Thank you thank you thank you.

The shaman was one who was hyper sensitive. They would wrestle with the concept of good and evil. They suffered when other people suffered. They wanted the village to be well. They seen divinity. They wanted the village to see divinity too. Shamans were always prone to chronic health issues too. This is highly documented. Our sick modern world tends to destroy the shaman types. They see more clearly. They can’t numb themselves from the incoherence and disorder..though many try, leading to addiction. They can’t bury their heads in the sand. They have to wrestle with goodness and with evil. With truth. With authenticity. With love and hate. To be the shaman archetype is difficult, especially now in the world. Art is the answer. It always has been. Thanks for being a shaman who learned to dance. I think I will be the same soon, partially thanks to people like you who came before and demonstrated it is possible.

Also, I’ll be starting hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy next week, due to hearing you talk about it. Thanks for that heads up too!
