Escape room

My mind is an escape room
in which I stand, bemused.
Sometimes the staff they whisper things,
they hint what I should do.
But then I forget where I am, and I forget the clues.

My mind is an escape room,
in which I stand, confused.
It’s like a place, that, although vague, seems as familiar as can be.
But all the same, it seems quite strange,
sometimes it feels like an anxious dream.

My mind is an escape room,
and life shines like light into my brain-shaped cell.
My mind is an escape room,
Perhaps a trick that I’ve played on myself.

Is this a trick? Is this a dream?
It feels familiar, and strange as can be.
Like a game in which I forget I play.
A puzzle that awakes day after day.

My mind is an escape room,
but maybe no, it’s not.
My mind, it is a playroom,
In which I am a God.

My mind it is a playroom,
and I am God just playing lost.
My mind it is an escape room,
an escape into the finite from the ALL.
