*Cant go back to video games, HIMYM synchronicity

18:57

My mind went back to when L and I would watch tv in the evening and we had that crazy run of synchronicities. Whatever the theme of the day was would be specifically discussed in the show that evening. It happened with How i met your mother and malcom in the middle especially. It got to the point where it was just insane. Zero chance there could have been that many coincidences in a row.

This came to me because I was thinking about getting back into gaming. I played COD at my cousins and I found it quite therapeautic. To totally forget the world. To be so focused on something that you no longer exist. Your problems and life’s problems are gone. No need to worry about your heroes journey, your purpose, your duty, your destiny, because this game is demanding 100% of your focus, so you go into a flow state. It feels therapeutic. I’m sure I could have some of it in my life again. Can mix it with social family time. Can play halo with brother and COD with cousin…. but. I had the notion to buy an xbox for myself yesterday. I thought it could allow me the sense of freedom and ease that earlier life had. A nice escape. Then last night while falling asleep I realised there is no going back. I have seen too much. I have accepted the call to adventure. I sensed the absence of meaning early on and requested that the universe provide me some. The exchange you must make for meaning is a sense of responsibility. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing though, it doesnt have to mean effort and boredom. It just means you gotta make life your video game.

So to reiterate I was thinking about getting a gaming console and making that a part of my life again because I was overwhelmed by life and I wanted some form of escape, I craved the carefree days. Last night I realised that’s not an option, but then again today I started entertaining the idea again, and then when I made dinner I went into the sitting room. My niece was watching how I met your mother. Right when I sat down my mom said ‘tomorrow night’ and then a literal second or two later ted says ‘tomorrow night’ also. This wasn’t the synchronicity, just thought I’d mention it. The episode was season 6 episode 16, where Marshall goes to stay at his moms house, and ends up gaming, to avoid lifes responsibilities. Ted gets overwhelmed by life and joins him, both reverting back to their teen selves temporarily, until they realise that they can’t hide from life, and must face, must move forwards.

I miss my ex. My health issue scares me. The state of the world scares me. The sense of responsibility I have to be of service to the world helps me. That’s an interesting typo… meant to say scares me, not helps me. Freudian slip perhaps. It definitely does both.

Life is a video game. I am a character. I’m going to play this video game well. I’m going to face life. I’m going to fix myself and help others. I will apply the knowledge I’ve learned to myself. I’m going to love myself and love others. Things will heal. Things will rise up. Connections will heal.

I’m going to heal my body and teach about the connection between illness and the mind. I’m going to host guided meditation sessions. I’m going to learn to cook big meals and host get togethers for family. I’m going to get my cousin off his phone more. I’m going to be a better friend. Better son. Will get dad outside playing tennis this spring/summer. Get cousin playing basketball. Get family meditating together. Teach local community about the benefits of meditation. It’s all going to come together now. All of a sudden. It will seem miraculous, but I will be calm and composed, because I will be living in a way where I’ve already experienced each thing before it happens. I will be emotionally rehearsing the future ahead of time. I will be visualising it. Seeing it. Feeling it. Then the material will unfold equal to my state of consciousness.

Synchronicities happen because reality is more a dream than it is a sandbox of matter and newtonian physics. Quantum physics joined the chat ages ago, and while no one truly understands it, we can conclude that it’s telling us reality is a lot weirder and funkier than we had presumed. The mystics of countless traditions were right. Reality is mind. The Universe is mind. It is all consciousness. We are creating it. We can intentionally choose which potential future to collapse into actuality. Our beliefs and thoughts shape reality. When we learn to pilot the mind we learn to design our personalities and our realities. Our stories get unstuck, our lives become unstuck. Energy starts flowing, we feel alive again and things start happening. No more inertia. No more stagnation. No more stagnant water. It is healthy and flowing continually.
